A portrait miniature on ivory of a young boy, Sackville Casement, full face, wearing a blue coat and white buttons, white frilled cravat tied with a black bow. Hand written on reverse 'The boy is Sackville Casement. Born 1805 died 1843. He was only son of Sir William Casement' Also 'Anne Lady Casement died in Kensington 4 sept 1858. She was married at Arunpore ? 28 July 1803'. (The latter referring to his mother).
Sackville was the great uncle of Sir Roger Casement (1864 - 1916) the Irish Nationalist.
